Easter weekend followed suit with Friday's happy vibe. Saturday morning we grabbed fresh local donuts (mine including a blueberry cake, creme brulee, and banana's foster donut!) Mmm. Later, we did a small hike through the hills. I'm finding it harder and harder to get around, losing my breath often. And only at 22 weeks! This summer will be a long one, I am sure. That night we took it easy and grilled wings and roasted cauliflower, dyed eggs, and rented Life of Pi for a night in.
Sunday, we celebrated our Savior at church with a sweet lesson for our 8 year old girls. Then I baked up some scalloped potatoes for a delicious ham dinner at my best lady's family's home. The same way we spent last year! Only this time, I had a little miss in my tummy flipping, kicking, and making her existence known all throughout the day. My whole life has purpose because of Christ so willingly dying for my sins and sorrow, and I am so grateful for a day to reflect on that.
Love you and baby A so darn much.
ReplyDeleteMy mister and I dyed eggs and watched life of PI on Easter Sunday! I have to ask, where did you purchase those heavenly looking donuts? I've been looking for a spot-on donut place around these parts, but have yet to find one. :)
ReplyDeleteRed Devil Donuts in Fairfield! Try them! They're the best place in town, I'd dare say.
DeleteI'm definitely going to have to stop by after church one of these Sundays (small tradition) Thanks for replying! :)
